XCEL Engineering is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business. We are an environmental engineering firm specializing in environmental compliance, air quality programs, construction management, and health and safety.

Originally founded in 1971 by professional engineers at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, XCEL was purchased in early 2003 by US Army and Navy veterans having a strong background in environmental and safety engineering.

XCEL offers professional engineers, and certified safety, industrial hygiene, and health physics professionals as well as personnel trained and experienced in such areas as Hazardous Waste Site Operations, Air Emissions, Pollution Prevention, Environmental and Air Program Permits, Construction Management, D&D Operations, CAA, OSHA, RCRA, HVAC system design, and risk/safety assessments.
